1.) Sequence

A sequence consists of 3 or more cards of the same family or suit. To place a successful show, a player must have 1 sequence in the whole set.

For example:

A sequence that contains, 5 6 7 and 8 of Spades OR a King, Queen and Joker of Hearts

2.) Set

A set contains a group of 3 or 4 cards with the same value but belongs to a different family/suit.

For example:

A Queen, Five and Four of Spades. OR 4 Kings of Spades, Hearts, Clubs, and Diamonds

Rummy can be played with 2 decks of cards and with players ranging between 2 to 6. In every online rummy variant, each player is dealt 13 cards and the objective is to arrange these 13 cards a sequence or a set.

Players pick a card from the un-dealt set after the 13 cards are dealt. As soon as the 13 cards are dealt and then the same player gets rid of the card which has no use to him. The player with the next turn has the option to pick a card from the undealt pile or the one the previous player has discarded. And the game goes on until a player makes a successful show.
